The Scala Lift-Off (East Coast) Conference is being planned for October 30th. It will most likely be in Reston, VA, but the location hasn't been nailed in stone yet. I'd love to see you all come! We're planning on having Martin Odersky himself come visit, hopefully with some others from the core scala team.
Since that date is a ways off, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in drinks and introductions sometime before hand? I'm thinking April 25th or May 2nd. I'm not quite sure where we're all located, so I was hoping we could all suggest an area and pick something central. Good Locations around me could be either DuClaw (Hanover, MD) or The Ram's Head (Savage, MD). I'm game for anything in DC or Baltimore as well.
Also, please let us know if you hear of any fun activites going on in the area. The b'more hackers group gets together every monday in the Emerging Tech center (at the can factory). They definitely have a good group going and plan to study a bunch of different languages.
