Need help on Akka Actors with Scalatra

I am a newbie with Scala, Akka and Scalatra.

I am trying to use Akka actors with Scalatra to achieve the following as part of learning:

1) Use Akka actor to connect to a url(say www.mydata/users) and fetch data

2) Filter first 5 results and store to mongo db.

Can any one point good resource with example of code on how to use Akka Actors with Scalatra. In all the places I ve seen there has been only reference to the use of Futures and nothing much about actors.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
