This month we will be meeting at LinkedIn HQ in Mountain View, near
the Google campus. The location can be seen in the accompanying link,
but we will be using a different building than the last meeting at
LinkedIn - and this promises to be a quieter venue than the kitchen
area.
Bill Venners will be conducting a part orientation and part design
review of ScalaTest. For those of you who do not know, ScalaTest is a
very nice testing framework for Scala that is able to layer itself
onto almost any other testing framework and enhance it. Indeed,
ScalaTest may prove to be a way to pilot Scala usage in a Java shop,
by dipping a toe in the water to write a few tests in Scala (and save
a lot of time along the way). Bill is closing in on a 1.0 release and
this will be a tech heavy session where Bill hopes to get pointers and
feedback to finish the API.
There are a number of places close by that you could stop in at to get
some takeout food. As usual we will aim to meet at 6.45pm in the
building lobby, for a prompt start at 7pm.
