Dear Kalpana
genes are functional units of DNA. genomics is therefore the study of the complete genome. DNA contain the genetic code- the secret code of live forms. Proteins are the basic product of DNA. Enzymes and hormones are basically proteins. Proteins are also basic building blocks of the body. Proteomics is the study of proteins in a broad sense.
