Become an RCIA Sponsor

Dear Friends in Christ,

God is drawing new members to His Church!

Several adults, some baptized and some not, have become catechumens in
our parish of St. Cyril of Alexandria. The formal program name is Rite
of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA. This is a nine month
program of catechesis and discernment. The first session begins this
evening.

RCIA leaders need help from us! Let's meet the needs of our Church.
The leaders are requesting assistance by becoming sponsors of some of
the catechumens.

A sponsor acts like an elder brother or sister in the faith, providing
friendship, guidance, and helping to discern the catechumens call, and
of course praying for the catechumen.

I have already signed up, and this is my second year in this role.
This role offers a rich, rewarding experience and fulfills a much-
