School Garden Care Summer Interns & Volunteers Needed!

Join Life Lab school garden caretakers this summer to lend a hand maintaining school gardens.

Thursdays 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM | June - July

We will teach and practice the following skills:

• Summer Orchard Care - weeding, mulching, feeding, pruning, and thinning fruit.
• Compost Systems - building and maintaining hot compost piles and tending to worm bins.
• Annual Vegetable and Flower Care - weeding, irrigation checks, fertility checks, deadheading/bouquet making.
• Perennial Plant Care - pruning and irrigations systems.
• Garden Infrastructure Support - repairing beds, irrigation systems, sign painting, repairing sinks and other structures. 

 

 Locations: School gardens in Live Oak and Watsonville.
 Transportation may be provided depending on your location.
 College credit available!
 Fulfill your High School Service Learning Hours!
