Dear all,
This is an email asking for an expression of interest to participate in a hands-on workshop to develop a schema for describing ethical dilemma's for the purpose of moral reasoning.
The core problem in automating moral decision-making and providing definitions of what is right or wrong for agents to do. Although machine ethics has been an active area of research, sadly the progress made is fragmented, and the discipline is locked in developing toy-examples to demonstrate the results. We are forever testing things with trolley problem scenarios.
To collect better decision-making examples, we first need to describe what a good enough example is. We have been working for a while on such a description and we would like to put it to a test to a group of clever researchers.
If you would like to join that group - approximately two hours discussing on what works and what does not - a the premises of LIP6 (4 Pl. Jussieu, 75005 Paris) please fill in this expression of interest Doodle. We will email those who have signed up with the time and place. Please also feel free to email me at marija.s...@uib.no with questions and follow ups.
