Dear all,
I would like to call your attention to the Digital Humanism Summer School that I am co-organizing in Vienna. The topic will be AI and Democracy with talks from ComSoC researchers Edith Elkind and Martin Lackner, but also speakers from other areas of computer science as well as from philosophy and political science. The summer school will be co-located with the European Summer School of AI (ESSAI), so interested students can also take courses from that school. Alternatively, it is possible to register for ESSAI and still follow Edith talk. You can find more information below or on the websites of the two summer schools.
Best,
Jan
5th ACM Europe Digital Humanism Summer School
Digital Humanism as an interdisciplinary field examines the complex interplay between digital technologies and humankind, with the aim of creating a better society and improving our lives. Digital Humanism foregrounds world-wide shared human values as the foundation for the direction in which technology should evolve.
