Every time I play a game, at the end, I hear a voice that says "failed to save replay".  Why is this?  Currently, I have sc2 gears pointed at my unsaved replays folder so it can grab the games as I finish them. Did I do something wrong?

Replays Folder:
C:\Users\James2\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\697222\1-S2-1-3067943\Replays\Unsaved\Multiplayer

In SC2 Gears:
Misc. Settings > Folders > SC2 Auto Replay Folder
\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\697222\1-S2-1-3067943\Replays\Unsaved

Thanks in advance for the help!
James

My guess is that Sc2gears can't save replays due to lack of write permissions.

Run a diagnostic test (Tools menu / Diagnostic test) which will probably tell what the error is.

Check the target folder where Sc2gears should save repays is writable by the Windows user you run Sc2gears with.

I've finally gotten around to messing with this again and it's still not working.  In the logs, I see:

Failed to copy last replay to: C:\Users\xxx\Documents\StarCraft II\SC2Replay Archive\2011-11-30 PvP

SC2 Gears is creating the custom folder, just not saving the replay in it.  I checked and I know my user can save there, plus I added "Everyone" and that didn't change anything either.  I also double checked the SC2 replay folders to ensure proper read access and those are good too.

Thanks
James

FYI:  The diagnostic doesn't show any errors.

I forgot the other part of the error:

Try to create a "neutral" folder like "C:\replays" and set that as the target folder, and test if it works that way.

If it helps, this is what I have set for the saved replays in SC2 in the settings of SC2 Gears:

SC2 Auto Replay Folder: \Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\77577881\1-S2-1-3250094\Replays\Multiplayer
SC2 Auto Replay Folder #2: /Documents/StarCraft II/Accounts
SC2 Auto Replay Folder #3: \Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\77577881\1-S2-1-3250094\Replays
SC2 Auto Replay Folder #4: \Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\77577881\1-S2-1-3250094

I believe now that the problem is with your name template. Can you post your name template?
