Hi,

As you may have heard, Neptun recently converted Rio into a, grossly underpowered, power boat (check your backstay setups and consider some redundancy). While all people aboard got away a bit shaken and with a little scare, Rio lost its complete rig. We’re starting to look at what it takes to put her back together, and the biggest items on the list are obviously mast and boom. I guess chances are low, but in case somebody has a spare mast and/or boom they are willing to part with, please, let me know.

Thanks,
Sören

Sören,

I have a boom for you. It’s an original sparcraft, not pretty, but will get the job done.

You’re welcome to it if you like. I’m driving down from WA this week for ditch run and can bring it. Let me know.

I have a spare mast in sf.  You can borrow it until you can figure out a permanent solution.

I bought the mast from Los Gatos, once I get it set up, my old mast will be available, it's serviceable, but has a few extra slots at the base that worried me.

Or, if you have a salvagable section of your old mast suitable for a sleeve at the base, I'll sell this one for what I paid for it. It has a small section of corrosion at the base that I intended to cut off to fit a folding tabernacle, and the internal sheaves at the base seem seized, haven't tried to free them.
