Hi everyone!  Please see the attached flier for information about our upcoming February event: dinner, guided stargazing, and a planetarium show! (see below for descriptions of the planetarium show and stargazing taken off of the Natural History Museum's website)

Tales of the Maya Skies

Tales of the Maya Skies is a trilingual (English/ Spanish/Mayan) 33 minute digital full-dome show that immerses the audience into the Maya astronomy, art and culture through a custom score and visuals. Produced by Chabot Space & Science Center, Tales of the Maya Skies inspires and educates through its description of the Maya’s accurate astronomical achievements and how astronomy connected them to the Universe. Narrated by Latin Grammy award winner and Oscar nominee Lila Downs.

 

Star Parties

Star Parties On the second Saturday of every month, the Museum offers public observations at the Museum's Palmer Observatory. These Star Parties are hosted by members of the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit, who provide telescopes and their expert knowledge of the night sky. Star Parties are held in conjunction with Evening Exclusive planetarium shows. * Next Star Parties Saturdays, January 9 and February 13 Sunset to 10:00 PM
