Hi all.  I know that at least some people are interested in social activities for this group so I'm looking for people to plan them.

What kind of activities?  Well...off the top of my head, how about...

hiking
biking
the zoo
the Natural History Museum
whale watching
the art museum
the botanic garden
a movie
a play
sailing
a dinner cruise
kayaking
a restaurant dinner
a potluck dinner
game night
visit a nearby mission
a concert

And since you guys are clever I'm sure you'll think of a dozen more...and better...ideas.

What do you need to do?

   1. Pick a month a volunteer to lead an activity.
   2. Pick an activity and a date.
   3. Is there a cost?  Do we need reservations?  Anything else we need to know in advance?
   4. Enjoy yourself!

Our January activity fell through...so if someone can pick something in the next week or so let me know.

Lauren Bergesen has volunteered for February.

Would someone like to volunteer for March or later?

Hi Andrea,

Thanks so much for sending this out to all of us. Can you fill us in on what the age requirements/restrictions. Is this for everyone or only young adults?

Let us know because we might be interested in helping out.

All my best,

Cary

I think that who is invited to an event is up to the organizers.  In general it should be something for young adults.  But I know that some people have children, so if an event is appropriate for children then they might be invited as well.  Our wine tasting in November obviously wouldn't be something for children, but some other activity might be appropriate for them.

I'd like to hear from other members of the group.  If you have children, do you want your children to be invited to appropriate activities, or is this a chance to spend time with adults?  If you don't have children, would you be OK with having them attend some activities, or would you prefer to keep things adults only?
