First Monday Group Meeting

Our next meeting is coming up this Monday 9/22 at 6PM in the basement
of the Union. There is a huge classroom down there and we are told
that it should be vacant. It also has dry-erase boards.
I completed the minutes for Friday's meeting, but I can't post them
until they are approved at Monday's meeting. They will be at
http://sbufreethinkers.org/minutes/
However, I can tell you a few things we came up with at the meeting:
We should provide essays to read before the meetings, and incorporate
that into the discussion.
We should sponsor humanitarian events.
There may be a split between the "Monday Group" and the "Friday
Group". Especially since we are having a meeting every Monday and
every Friday as of now, you should probably only come to the one that
is more convenient for you, although you are welcome to attend both.
We might repeat discussions that worked well at the last meeting, but
certainly business moves on at each meeting (ie; we won't take two
votes on something).
We did come up with a succinct definition of science, although we
couldn't quite get one for religion. If we repeat the topic, it should
be interesting to see if the Monday Group can define both. We haven't
decided on the topic for this Monday yet.
