--VentureStudio (www.venturestudio.in), the venture design and incubation centre established byAhmedabad University (www.ahduni.edu.in) in Ahmedabad, India is looking to expand its leadership team. It is known for its six-month Fellowship program that coaches entrepreneurs and innovators in designing and launching innovation-driven scalable enterprises. VentureStudio has been established in collaboration with the Center for Design Research (CDR) at Stanford University. It aims to nucleate an innovation ecosystem comparable to Silicon Valley in Ahmedabad.
VentureStudio is currently looking for a young, dynamic person as Research Associate. This role involves significant initiatives at VentureStudio with research in innovation and startups, with additional opportunities in outreach and ecosystem development program. The role also provides opportunity to take part in entrepreneurship initiatives at Ahmedabad University across its different institutes. Ahmedabad University also provides opportunity to pursue Ph.D. for suitable candidates.
Position Title:
Research Associate, VentureStudio.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews on innovation ecosystem in India and other countries
- Keep updated and report on the fast changing innovation and startup ecosystem across India and world.
- Plan and execute research studies on innovation and entrepreneurship related subjects, which include, (i) collecting data through hands on interaction, interviews with ventures at VentureStudio as well as other ventures across India, (ii) deriving suitable results and conclusions and (iii) present in AU and other conferences and publish in reputed journals.
- Develop case studies for ventures at VentureStudio and elsewhere.
- Assist in preparing materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations for VentureStudio.
- Take part in VentureStudio outreach activities to reach out to academic institutions, student bodies, young professional interested in entrepreneurship, potential mentors and professional service providers, industries etc.
- Prepare training material for VentureStudio entrepreneurs.
- Assist in VentureStudio coaching schedule, venture reporting and reviews.
Qualifications required:
- Masters degree, preferably MBA with entrepreneurship and innovation as a major area.
- Candidates with bachelor degree or Masters in other areas, with prior experience as research associate in marketing, entrepreneurship or other social sciences will also be considered.
- Experience of 2 to 3 years in industry or academics in business development or research and development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Experience in startups or startup ecosystem will be an added advantage.
- Experience in training or teaching will be an added advantage.
