Following yesterday's call, I've added the following into our shared resources:
- In our "Driving scenarios..." document:
  - proposed experimental protocol
  - responses to David's questions
  - discussion of the reference strain culturing alternative and evidence against that path
  - discussion of target accuracy (i.e., none)
  - many small text improvements
- In the "reference_material" folder, I've added a preliminary graph from the iGEM 2016 interlab comparing accuracy of using a reference strain for ratios vs. using beads for ratios and reference strain for outlier removal.

Since we didn't get a chance to discuss data analyses yesterday, John and I have made plans to meet on Friday at 3pm Eastern / 2pm Central / noon Pacific to specifically focus on discussion of the most recent data and our analyses.  All are welcome to join the hangout if you wish:

Discussion of experimental plans and goals can continue via email and at our regular meeting next Monday.

Thanks,
-Jake

I would love to, but I'm teaching a Data Carpentry class on Friday and
won't be available. I look forward to hearing about progress on Monday!

I've got another meeting from 3:30-4:40, so I'll be there for the first 1/2 but have to leave early.

And here's a follow-up from me, a link to VIM3: International Vocabulary of Metrology: http://www.bipm.org/en/publications/guides/vim.html ...

Cheers,

Thanks Sarah.

In skimming that document briefly, I thought it was interesting to see that "absolute" and "universal" are not mentioned anywhere (e.g. in the context of units), and I'm still trying to digest all the references to "calibration" (and its derivatives).
