Dear Friends and Family:

Valorie and I have changed our plans and are not going to Perth Australia now, we are going to Kona Hawaii instead.

Here is a little explanation of how this worked out for us.
It was a very interesting process in getting our application to Perth, Valorie and I both were a little anxious about what we were doing and slightly on edge as the time and effort progressed.

In one of my small group meetings the discussion came up about us going to FCM at Perth, where many things were said. That got me to thinking, especially concerning our intent and the peace of mind which neither Valorie nor I was having.

The previous day we had also gotten an e-mail from Perth saying we had been accepted which should have really excited us yet didn't but rather added a little more anxiety.
Next morning I asked Valorie how she felt about our going to Perth and a big discussion ensued.
We discussed our goals, our attitudes and what we were feeling the Lord was speaking to us.
We did not get a clear word from the Lord but clearly felt a change was in order.

I have always felt, in the next year or so, that God would have us help a newly forming YWAM base here in Lacey area with DTS School and that we need to have staff experience to be of maximum value in doing that.

I really wanted to do FCM “counseling” outreach, which we missed in Brazil because we had no interpreter: that drew us to Perth who offered an FMC school, not to mention that we both always wanted to go to Australia.

I see such a tremendous need for people in the Body of Christ, the mainstream church, to have victory, peace and joy and ministry and I see FCM as a great tool for that area of ministry and I want all of that I can get. I think FCM is so powerful in helping Christians find that victory and I would love to have a greater exposure to that training and ministry.

Apparently that is not to be right now and who knows what the future holds, only God does, I definitely do not.

We are going to Kona as volunteers on the same date, Sept. 27, we had planned to go to Perth, hoping to help staff a school while there.

We sold our house last month and the 26th of Sep we have to be out of the house so we either had to rent a place here or arrange to go do something somewhere. We chose the latter.
My thoughts are that maybe God wanted us to sell the house rather than leave it vacant again for a long period of time. Perth and FCM played a big part in me making the decisions necessary to sell the house in the existing market.

I do not know what spiritual forces were in play during the battles and decisions we have been facing this past year, but if I could see into the spiritual realm and write a book covering what has happened and continues to happen I would likely be a millionaire.

Anyway we are leaving for Kona on the 27th of Sep. and plan a several month stay there, maybe longer.

There is a verse in the scriptures that speaks about the Holy Spirit as being like the wind. It may be relevant here. I may be trying to prove I am not crazy.

(NASB)  "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
