Just a short note to share some very exciting news. But first, a short story…
I remember sitting in class during the very first week of my School of
Biblical Studies (SBS). This was in September of 2009. There were many
people feeling slightly overwhelmed by the amount of work ahead of us
but in my heart was only excitement – an excitement to learn of God,
His character and His ways through the Bible. And in that moment, the
first week, I prayed “Lord, once is not going to be enough for me.
Please let me come back and staff this school!”
And now, 2 years later, God has answered that prayer! I have been
accepted to staff on the School of Biblical Studies next year. This is
a 2 year commitment, which will take me through two 9-month long
schools. But this time I won’t be in South Africa, I’ll be staffing in
Taiwan. The school starts on the 23rd of March but I will need to join
the staff to prepare in February.
Needless to say, I am STOKED! Thank you God!
Why am I so passionate for this school?
• Because it was life changing for me.
• It opened Scripture up and enabled me to gain new treasures about
His nature, character and ways.
And now, staffing on a Word-focused DTS (Discipleship training school)
I have an excitement every time one of the students shares a new
insight they have gained about Him or His Word – particularly when it
has come in the Bible Study times!
