SANTA BARBARA BEAVER BRIGADE
Please join us for our monthly meeting & gathering on Tuesday, August 13, 6:30pm at the South Coast Watershed Resource Center, (Hendry’s Beach) Arroyo Burro County Park, 2981 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109.
We will share & discuss some of the talks & videos from the recent Bringing Beavers Back to Coastal California conference hosted by Cal Poly's Initiative for Climate Leadership and Resilience, SLO Beaver Brigade, and Morro Bay Open Space Alliance, held on the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus. We learned beaver are actually finding their way into multiple watersheds of San Luis Obispo (SLO) County, some even observed on the beach! It’s great to see these organizations working together, seeing the value & benefit of beaver for the SLO County ecosystem.
Also, save the date! On Sept 10-12, the SB Beaver Brigade will have an exhibit booth again at the National Heirloom Expo at the Ventura County Fairgrounds for our second year. Please join us if you can, stop by and visit at our outdoor booth, and as always, we can use volunteers.
The SB Beaver Brigade would like some active members interested in participating in being an advocacy group for beaver and organizing activities! As they say, it takes a village, and two of our most active members, have just moved from Santa Barbara to continue with their advanced degrees, so new energy welcome.
