One of the new features is the possibility to build symbol librairies

I should look again at Inkscape. I do a lot of drawing for my text
books and 2 years ago Inkscape I had some problems reading and saving
pdf files so I had to give it up. Currently I use an oldish copy of
Illustrator as I refused to use Adobe's new subscription service.
