Oregon Tilth Accredited Organic Land Care Update:

Oregon Tilth Accredited Organic Land Care has accredited over 70 landscape professionals in 6 states and British Columbia.  The next accreditation training will be this fall in Olympia, Washington. Also, join us for the summer workshop in Salem, Oregon, at Willamette University. See below for more details.

 

Portland Area Peer Learning Group

March 6th, 12:30 - 2:00pm

Accredited practitioner Corey Peterson from Pacific Landscape Management will give us a tour of an organically managed commercial site in Beaverton. Come on out and see how it is working out!

 

OLC North American Alliance

We are also working on our North American OLC alliance with other OLC programs, namely the Northeast Organic Farming Association OLC based in Connecticut, and the Society for Organic Urban Land Care in British Columbia. Soon, we will have created an Organic Land Care Wikipedia page which will feature our common principle statement and links to each others' programs.

 

Transitioning to Organics: a workshop for landscape professionals focusing on Willamette University’s five-year plus organic landscape management. Late July (date TBA),Willamette University, Salem, Oregon, $80 registration fee.


Oregon Tilth Organic Land Care Accreditation Training in Olympia, Washington, sponsored by Thurston County Public Health and in partnership with Seattle Tilth. Topics include soil health and maintenance, plant selection, IPM, soil food web, sustainable landscape design, storm water management, pesticide reduction/elimination, watershed conservation, ecological landscaping and more. Fall 2013 (date TBA).
