Hello,

I am currently trying to build libRoadRunner with the current experimental branch of the libSBML SVN repository. However, I am getting an error stating that "libSBML has no member 'DistribFunctionDefinitionPlugin'" The build works with libSBML 5.18.0 experimental, however. Does anyone know why this might be? Is there a way to make this work with the current experimental branch?

If it helps, the file where the error occurs includes <sbml/common/libsbml-config-packages.h> and <sbml/packages/distrib/common/DistribExtensionTypes.h>

Thanks very much,

Andrew Briand

The Distributions package has been updated to no longer have a DistribFunctionDefinitionPlugin: it was used in an earlier version of the package that was voted down at a previous COMBINE/HARMONY, in favor of using extended csymbols instead.  So that part of libroadrunner will need to be updated to use distrib csymbols and not extended function definitions.

Until that happens, using 5.18.0 will work fine.  Unfortunately, the experimental branch always targets the latest package proposals, and those are often moving targets.  Happily, everyone seems to be happy with the current version of the distributions package, so as soon as there are some implementations (including libroadrunner) it will be finalized and the API won't change any more.
