Dear Colleagues,

I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to highlight the BioModels' Model of the Year 2024 competition that may be of interest to the early career researchers within your department / institute / company/ university and broader network. The deadline is rapidly approaching on February 29th, 2024!

I would really appreciate if you could kindly share it around.

More details can be found here https://www.ebi.ac.uk/biomodels/competition/model-of-the-year-2024

The competition aims to recognise exciting mathematical models of biological systems and the modellers who build them. This is an excellent opportunity for early career modellers to showcase their work. The competition I open to researchers from academia and industry. Winners will receive a cash prize 🏆 (£1000*), invited to write a blog in BioModels, and their work will be highlighted in a journal article published by the jury.

Our recent publication, "BioModels’ Model of the Year 2023" in Frontiers in Systems Biology, showcases the exciting work of last year's winners

The application form is simple, it requires a brief description of the model and link to the model codes deposited in a public repository.

Can you please help spread the word across your network by sharing social media posts and encouraging modellers to submit their models to enter the competition?
