URI,
You have to think about your market and what Salsa Rhythm is supposed
to do.
For me, it's an application for salsa dancers (beginners and people
with musicality issues).
It's not a toy for kids like guitar hero. or a traning tool for
musicians.
So, I believe that adding this feature, you add something sexy that
could route salsa rhythm out of its way/target (and may kill it as
users will not recognize their preferred tool).
When I exercise myself using Salsa Rhythm, I tap hands or clave (5$
but noisy). And it's fine.
Tapping on the i-phone or shaking it or typing on i-pad doesn't bring
real advantage. And is not easy to do.
Of course, Guitar hero gives me a lot of fun (and more to my son).
But it's a game for kids.
It may help people practising (I saw interesting things on youtube).
But in this case, it's help for musicians. (Great things on line to
practice drums by the way).
So, it's something I would push to another version, later after
understanding more the interest for dancers.
I'll tell you if I change my mind about that OR acquire more
conviction on it.
I believe that Guitar Hero or Rock Band should exist with Latin music.
But you shouldn't compete with them.
It's fun but probably not good marketing.
