I tested this new ipod release during some time. It's impressive.
It works fine. The application stopped one time (8 hours test). But I
was unable to reproduce. So, OK.

I didn't find how to select clave 2-3. Clave 2-3 is always there.
Please tell me how to do that.

Also, there are some minor modifications that may be of interest like
a slide bar to adjust the level of each instrument. (for example, it
could be with other instruments settings - replacing the dots. And
dots could be moved betwwen the clave and the play/pause button. As a
salsa learner, I'm not sure. I'll tell you more next week as I have a
1 week salsa seminar and we'll discuss that with my mentor.

Probably more interesting feedback after this seminar.

Hi Jean,

Thanks for your feedback! Currently the level of each instrument can be adjusted by visiting the instrument details screen (the button to the right of the selected instrument title/active program name, in the line above the 8 dots). Maybe there should also be a way of doing this from the main screen - there were several requests already, we need to come up with some way to do it without making the interface more crowded than what it already is.

Regarding switching the clave direction - this is not possible in version 1.0, for two main reasons:
  1.  Currently the bass/piano do not respect the clave (they always play by the 2-3 clave, regardless of the setting). This is also problem in the online version, and I hope to resolve it soon.
  2. I couldn't figure out where to put it in the user interface
I really hope to include this feature in the 1.1-release. We will shortly start a thread here discussing your suggestions for version 1.1, and then we can decide what goes in and what's left out.

I am looking forward to read the feedback after your seminar, it sounds like it's going to be interesting...

Best regards,
Uri
