I did an image search for music... some images that inspired me:

This could be done with a salsa band.  

 

Draw out Letters with musical notes.

Is this little guy copyrighted?  He could be plsyjng the clave or dancing.

An alternative to notes drawn out to look like the letters SALSA.  Just draw the letters SALSA inside each bubble in some musical notes.

You could layer the instruments in your UI in a graphic sort of way.  Include some musical notes, the words SALSA or Rhythm or 123... maybe 567... too.
