March Volunteer Update

Dear SBK Volunteers,

The Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen will be hosting a volunteer
appreciation party is this Saturday, the 21st at 6pm at the shop.
Bring a friend, bring your bike, or just bring your own sweet self.
Whether you've volunteered once, regularly, or are interested in
getting involved, stop by the shop and have a drink on us! Try to let
me know if you're going to come to the party so I know how much beer
we'll need.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We will be opening the shop on Fridays from 10am-3pm. It's going to
be awesome being open during the day, but we need some mechanics and a
clerk to help out. Please let me know if you'd be interested in
volunteering for Friday day shifts.


Because John B will be managing the Friday shift, we're looking for a
shop manager to take over Thursday nights. We need a strong mechanic
who is willing to cover this shift every week. Drop a line if you're
interested.


We're planning a large fundraiser in May and are going to need a lot
of volunteer help to make sure it runs smoothly. It will be a
scavenger hunt bike ride around midtown sponsored by New Belgium.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to lend a hand if you can't
volunteer in the shop. I would like to get a group together as soon
as possible to help with planning the event and gathering donations,
so contact me if you're interested.


Danny Gutierrez is working on starting a kids' program at the shop,
and he needs mechanics and organizers to help him out. Contact Danny:
