Very cool! You nearly got it, or rather, you figured out a variation with less friendly leads. The leads will be less collision prone if the pass from the #2 feeddee, coming up the center, leads the feeder to where the feeder needs to go next. The right-hand feeder will be looping to their right, so the pass from feedee #2 (coming up the center) should be from their left hand, leading the feeder to the feeder's right. Note that this is the opposite of where the feeder would be throwing if it were a simple 4-person weave with a stationary feeder.
Oh, and 5-count IVW variation #1 has the feeder throwing on 1,3, and 5. 1 & 3 are thrown to the outside feedee (#1) and 5 is thrown to the center feedee (#2). The feeder on the left-hand side of the pattern (from the feeder's perspective) passes only with the right hand (1, 3, and 5). The feeder on the right-hand side of the pattern (from the feeder's perspective) passes only with the left hand. Note that the feeder receives a nice outside throw that leads them where they need to go.
BTW, these IVW patterns can be done in a stationary manner in a pentagram with the feeder switching clockwise or counterclockwise every N beats. This allows for patterns that would be impossible if they were moving patterns. The 3-count version works nicely with the feeder passing on 1 and 3. The feeder exchanges only with the 2 people in front of them. They do not pass with those adjacent to themselves.
There is also a 1-count, but that hardly counts as a feed.
