It is fine if u look from security point of view becuz when d card is removed from machine its confidentiality is lost as it is open to tampering by ATM service personnel.So it is better for the customer to get a new one. My question  is that should the bank charge for duplicate card in such cases?

Salaam...everybdy....well..frst of all a good snap taken by Arif bhai....was it taken by u???? i guess thats not dat important...but I feel that once RBI has passed guidelines regarding usage of ATM cards at any other banks' ATMs a system shd be developed in place to address issues like this...a bank of the stature of Axis Bank or any other bank just cant put up notices like this and give their own directives...i guess one can easily drag AB to the consumer court...which will serve two purposes...firstly RBI has to look into the matter asap....secondly customers will not be unnecessarily harassed....it happens in sbi 2 sometimes...lets be honest in this regard....and Arif bhai... if possible u can bring this issue up for discussion on the SBI Blog...we can get more interesting views and counter-views.....Allah Hafiz....
