12v Power Supply?

Does anyone have an old power supply I might be able to borrow or buy?

I'm looking for a 12v at 5-20A (from 110 VAC) or so for a couple electrolysis projects. An old PC power supply should do the trick... a new one would bust the budget (especially at Best Buy prices).

I'm open to other ideas too.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've got one. It's a Silencer brand 610W ATX 2.0 supply. It's rated
49A 12v. I don't want anything for it but if it will work for you I
suggest throwing a couple bucks into the donation jar at the space.

I also have some stories about my electrolysis knowledge!

The rectifier I used to use was rated at 27KA at about 100 volts

I'd love to hear a few of them. I'm using a 1A source right now and its going so slow... but I think I'd like to try electroplating after this project.

Ha, ha.  Reminds me of the ongoing projects of Calvin Balke my autistic teen son.  Not electrolysis but the homemade arc welder that burned out one of our GFIs.  A bubbling salt water bath in my casserole dishes, cut up power supplies, and the carbon rods from batteries and voila, arc welder.  I'm still scrubbing salt out of my dishes years later and I'll never forget the "mom, I can't see very good" before the purchase of the welder mask.
