I'm working on a project to control two 12V DC motors with a raspberry pi. Does anyone have any experience doing something like this and could provide some guidance?

Any thoughts on using the gertboard as a motor controller?

Oops, the gertboard only has a single motor controller. I'm now looking at the AFlex robotic board as an alternative. I found it under this wiki: http://elinux.org/RPi_Expansion_Boards#Robotics.2F_motors

What kind of motors DC your stepper? And what's the specs as far as amps/volts?
