I don't think that anybody is using this piece of software, now that
Quicklisp is several years old.
Cliki links are not being maintained anymore, new libraries are not
added to it. Its presence in the contribs may give the wrong impression
that it's a recommended method for installing software.

I'd like to hear any objections.

Doesn't the Cliki page caution *against* using asdf-install?

At the same time there was a conflict with SBCL 1.1.6 and Quicklisp.
There would have to be coordination to make certain this didn't occur,
should QL become part of the SBCL set of contrive.

I'm not aware of any problems with quicklisp and SBCL 1.1.6, but
Quicklisp is not going to become a part of SBCL anyway.

Understood, and I meant `contribs' instead of `contrive'.

Check the following for the problem I mentioned:

http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=515BD649.5050704%40gmail.com&forum_name=sbcl-devel

Or sift the March 2013 sbcl-devel archive for a thread named
"[Sbcl-devel] Serious problem in 1.1.6"

Best,

It's not a problem with quicklisp. It was SBCL breaking lparallel.

This is my explicit +1 on killing asdf-install.

Cheers,
