Greetings Fellow Democrats!
We were glad to join the Indivisibles and other like minded groups in the "No Kings"
rally here in Catonsville. The mighty Oz in our White House is now revealed to be a
puny, insecure fool.      There's more to do.
See below for a menu of ways to help. This week there's a postcard party and a
meeting on flood solutions. There's also a forum for the Democratic candidates for
Baltimore County Executive, our November Club meeting featuring Rep. Olszewski.
Also, there's the Democratic Party Unity Dinner. That event is a great
way to support the party for the year ahead. Please reply to this email is you are
going to attend and let them know that you want to sit with the SW Democrats.
All that and more is listed below:
                                     Carry On!
The Southwest Baltimore County Democratic Club

Events and Actions:

Help PA retain its Supreme Court Judges
Combat the trickery from the other side.
  1. If you have family or friends in PA, ask them to vote YES to the vote for retention.
  2. In this Off-Year election, every vote counts  The justices’ names are Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht.  More info is available at https://pennsylvaniadecides.com/ .
  3. Consider joining a phonebank.  Remind voters that: there IS a vote in November (many don’t know this); that the vote includes retention of three Supreme Court justices (not term limits); and that they can apply for a Vote By Mail ballot (we can text them the links to apply for one). Two organizations that are doing this.  “Turn PA Blue” is a 501(c)(3) organization that targets Democrats, reminding them to vote YES for retention.  They phonebank on Tuesdays and Sundays.  “Promote the Vote PA” is a 501(c)(4) organization.  Because it is non-partisan, it can target a larger audience. We will remind them of the election and their options for voting by mail.  They call on Thursdays and Sundays
  4. Consider postcarding. Tony the Democrat recently added a campaign for the PA Supreme Court, asking voters to vote YES to keep judges who protect democracy.  If you are already a member, go to https://abby.postcardstovoters.org/ to get addresses.  If you are not already a member, email Jo...@TonyTheDemocrat.org to set up an account. There will also be a postcard event for this at Catonsville Library on October 4th from 9 to 11 AM.  (See Post below for Details)
