We all saw the great news last week: the U.S. Supreme Court declined to revisit its gay marriage decision — keeping marriage equality the law of the land. That alone is worth raising a toast! But here in Baltimore County, it’s also a reminder that progress only sticks when we show up and fight for it.

I’m proud to be the only candidate in this race with a full LGBTQIA+ platform with real, actionable steps we can take right now to make Baltimore County safer, fairer, and more welcoming. Billy and I even co-authored an op-ed in the Washington Blade detailing how local government can be a true partner in progress.
