AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ID: 2011-1459
F/T. Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with
dealer and factory standards. Oversee the work of any apprentice
technician. Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall
area. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and
accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair. Communicate with
parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job
is under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examine the vehicle
to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Notify
service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed
or required. Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be
completed within the time promised. Document work performed. Road-test
vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in
mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal
errands. Supervise work of any apprentice technicians. Attend factory-
sponsored training classes. Keep abreast of factory technical
bulletins. Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean. Keep shop area
neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at
all times. Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations,
such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes. Must follow
all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any
and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
General Motors experience. High CSI. ASI or manufacturing training.
High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license and a good driving
record. Good Judgment. Pass pre-employment testing, background checks,
MVR, drug test, credit report.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNOLOGY
P/T, M-TH: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. $1,740 - $2,221/mo. Provide
responsible instructional support services for faculty and students of
the Registered Veterinary Technology program: prepare instructional
materials and supplies, assist in the proper uses and operations of
instructional equipment and materials, tutor students and/or assist in
directing their experiences. Prepare and set up for lab exercises,
distributing and arranging supplies and materials, monitoring lab
environment and replenishing consumables as needed; Assist in the
handling, restraint and treatment procedures of demonstration animals
to be used in the classroom; Assist in instructional demonstrations of
veterinary procedures and techniques, such as catheter placement,
dental cleaning, exposure and development of radiographs, etc; Assure
work area is clean and in working condition, organizes supplies and
laboratories; Prepare and sterilize instruments and solutions; Empty
laboratory of used equipment, clean appropriately and return to proper
storage; Maintain and operate a variety of technical lab equipment;
Prepare work orders and maintain records. Knowledge of: Subject
matter, equipment, materials, supplies and related items used in
R.V.T. courses. Nursing care and handling of small and large animal
species used in R.V.T. courses. Proper safety procedures in working
with and storage of hazardous and potentially hazardous materials and
chemicals. Computer literacy and applications in Registered
Veterinary Technology. Understanding of budgets and revenue control.
Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of all equipment, materials,
supplies and related items used in Registered Veterinary courses.
Provide assistance to students in performance of lab and problem-
solving activities in all R.V.T courses. Strong analytical, excellent
interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Organizational
skills. Lift a 50 lb. load. Possession of a Registered Veterinary
Technician certificate and two years directly related work experience.
Valid driver’s license. Pass physical examination. Fingerprint
