Datron World Communications, Inc. has a new position opened for a
Electro-Mechanical Assembler for 3+ month temporary contract. Please

We are looking for a talented individual who can support our Mission

The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work
based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise,
consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a
willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. Performs a
number of complex, but repetitive electro-mechanical assembly
operations of electronic parts, components, subassemblies and units
including printed circuit boards, panels, cable harnesses and other
electronic assemblies. Able to use the following tools, such as hand
tools, drills, soldering guns, screwdrivers, precision measuring
instruments, and other hand held tools. Ability to follow verbal and
written instructions such as blueprints, assembly layouts, wiring
tables, drawings and sketches in completing a variety of assembly and
subassembly tasks, modify, or reassemble electro-mechanical
assemblies. Receives detailed instructions on new assignments.
Operates assembly machines as required.

Able to perform the following:
1. Assigned tasks within acceptable quality levels in accordance with
IPC-610 Quality Standards.
2. In-process Inspection of own work and previous steps.
3. Keeps workstation neat and orderly.
4. Work from assembly drawings, parts lists, test procedures and wire
lists.
5. Moderately complex mechanical assembly on electro-mechanical
assemblies. Moderately complex wire routing and soldering on electro-
mechanical assemblies.
6. Visual inspection for cosmetic appearance of LCD’s, LCD windows and
metal ware prior to assembly.
7. Basic automated testing on subassemblies and repairs failures.
8. Preparation of switch and connector assemblies.
9. Button up procedures and use water test and burn-in equipment as
required.
10. Identify errors in assembly documentation.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 to5
years experience working as an electro-mechanical assembler with in a
production manufacturing environment. Must be able to be route and
solder wires, willingness to be trained on basic assembly equipment in
electro-mechanical assembly area, work from assembly drawings, follow
written and verbal instruction in English. The ideal candidate must be
able to work overtime[i], and have an excellent attention to detail to
promote accuracy and quality of work. Must be comfortable working with
repetitive routines on a daily basis and able to meet time and quality
standards.

basis

[i] Average work week: Monday thru Friday – 6:45am to 3:15pm. Overtime
schedule when required, would include as early as 5:45am to 6:15pm.
