maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment assigned to the City
Fleet. Perform safety inspection, work-quality control, routine and
preventive maintenance on a variety of vehicles and equipment

and public safety equipment. Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, overhauls
and replaces systems and components including, but not limited to;
Engines; brakes, transmissions, suspension, steering, cooling, heating/

(diesel, gasoline, CNG, electromotive), emissions, hydraulic, body/
cabin, safety, and related computer-controlled systems or components.
Troubleshoots and repairs vehicle related emergency lighting/warning
systems, mobile data terminals, law enforcement and fire-fighting
equipment. Responds to road calls and performs on-site diagnostics and
repairs on vehicles and equipment. Inspects wheels and tires. Performs
all tire maintenance functions including dismounting, repairing,
remounting and balancing of various tires in service on City fleet
vehicles. Maintains or assists in maintaining tire inventory, as
assigned. Performs fabrication tasks using a variety of welding and
cutting tools and equipment. Inputs accurate repair-related work-order
data into the Fleet maintenance automated-management system.
Identifies needed parts and prepares part(s) request form and conducts
quality control on part(s) received. Interfaces with vendors and
customers and acts in accordance with the City's customer-service
standards. Assists and trains less experienced personnel. Performs
machine shop work with accuracy and precision. Keeps current with new
technology including participating in City-required training.
Maintains and cleans tools and work areas. Disposes hazardous waste in
accordance with City guidelines. High school diploma or GED. Four
years experience performing duties comparable to those of an Equipment
Mechanic I in the City of Beverly Hills, supplemented by or including
completion of specialized training courses, or any equivalent
combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license.
Possession of a Class “B” California Driver’s License and Forklift
Certificate prior to the completion of the probationary period.
Possession of a Class “A” or “M” California Driver’s License may be
required as assignment dictates. Knowledge of occupational hazards and
standard safety precautions necessary in the performance of the work.
Knowledge of operating principles of gasoline and diesel engines, and
of mechanical repair of heavy trucks and construction equipment.
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the
diagnostic, repair and maintenance of a variety of heavy and light
equipment. Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Skill
in adapting available tools and repairing parts to specific repair
problems. Skill in interpreting and working from sketches and
diagrams. Skill in using a desktop computer and basic knowledge of
word-processing. Skill in performing welding, cutting and fabrication
work. Skill in the use of and care for tools used in equipment repair
work. ASE Master Certification in Automotive and/or Heavy Duty Truck
preferred.

Position Summary:




Oversee and manage the SVP office and department execs to include
coordination of travel, calendar, expenses and filing as well as
administrative support



Responsibilities:




1. Answer telephone, screen calls, route callers, take messages,
respond to internal and external inquiries, and provide routine
information within the scope of authority.

2. Schedule, organize, and coordinate meetings, including travel,
transportation and hotel arrangements, coordination, preparation, and
distribution of materials, agendas, and notes, handouts.

3. Type and compose memorandums, letters, forms, procedures,
contracts, proposals, and other documents and correspondence, as
appropriate.

4. Arrange travel itineraries and prepare travel and expense reports,
purchase orders, and check request

5. Prepare presentations and coordinate video needs for network, and
departmental/team meetings, including annual budget presentation.

6. Monitor monthly expenses, reconcile budget, and refer discrepancies
for resolution.

7. Schedule executives’ appointments, maintain and update supervisors’
daily calendar.

8. Provide administrative support for both departments including
handling shipping requests, dub requests, subscription requests,
premium tracking, inventory tracking and fulfillment, vacation
tracking, mail distribution, and other duties as assigned.



Requirements:




* Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or an equivalent
combination of skills, training, and experience is preferred.

* Three to five years’ administrative experience.

* Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal,
organizational, prioritization and administrative skills are needed.

* Must be proficient in Windows, Lotus Notes, Calendar Creator,
Organizer, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and database management.

* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

TECHNICIAN
Inglewood. Efficient diagnosis, repair, and replacement of general
automotive parts and accessories. Have direct interaction with
customers and deliver superior service through educating the customer
on the problems and proposed solutions for their vehicle. Conduct a
wide variety of diagnoses and repairs; including: brakes, drivability,
emissions, steering and suspension, electrical, state safety and
emissions testing, maintenance services, HVAC, starting and charging,
and major engine. Have a passion for cars, “doing it right, the first
time" and proactively seeking to produce a positive and productive
work environment. Honesty, thoroughness, expertise and a passion for
transforming our customers into educated automotive consumers. Drive
sales by ensuring a thorough vehicle inspection is completed for every
car that comes into the shop or the Drive-Up Service lane. A
Technician will recommend necessary repairs, as well as, make
recommendation pertaining to scheduled maintenance, vehicle
enhancements or upgrades. Will adhere to MAP (UICS) standards. Valid
Driver’s License and submit to a pre-employment drug screening. Six
months experience as a certified technician or mechanic and four ASE’s
(Brakes & Steering and Suspension, plus two ASE’s from the following:
A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1
Advanced Engine Performance.) Additional ASE’s are strongly
encouraged. ASE equivalent certifications may be considered as part of
the qualification process. However, Pep Boys requires all Technicians
to achieve the required ASE certifications within two ASE testing
cycles. Pep Boys pre-pays ASE registration and testing fees for
Technicians who attempt to achieve their required ASE certifications.
