Fox River Trail St Charles, Saturday, Nov 1, 10:00 AM

Join me for a ride on the Fox River Trail. We'll start at the library in
St. Charles and ride south to the Aurora library and maybe further. All
paved trails except for a few short stretches on streets. Mostly flat.
Ride will be about 24 miles round trip to Aurora, but since it is out and
back you can turn around when it is appropriate for you. We'll probably
need to walk our bikes through the farmer's market in Batavia and Aurora if
they are still in operation this late in the season. On the return we'll
pass the Water Street Art Studio in Batavia where you are welcome to stop to
view Cindy O's work (and her colleagues).

Be prepared for cool weather (similar to yesterday). Watch for updates due
to the possibility of rain.

What: Ride Fox River Trail
When: Saturday, November 1, 10:00 AM
Where: St. Charles Library (1 S 6th Ave)
How: 10-12 mph. Casual ride. No one left behind.

Please park in the SE corner of the parking lot closest to the corner of 7th
Ave and Illinois.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.

Reminders: Helmets are expected safety gear. Bike must be in reasonable
condition. Guests are welcome to join us for one ride but are expected to
join the club for additional rides (insurance requirements). Fountains may
be disabled so bring enough water. Please carry emergency contact info.

Let me know you are coming so I don't leave without you.

Saturday's ride was brisk but pleasant. It was cool but not too breezy and the rain I was concerned about held off. (We turned around in Aurora because of my concerns about weather, but I didn't see sprinkles until driving home and rain in the evening.) Colors were good as you can see in the picture. We enjoyed Cindy's "tour" of the gallery exhibit in Batavia. Larry, Bill J, Noreen & Dave, Mansoor, Cindy O and Karen joined me for 25 fall miles.
