GROWING GREAT FIELD TOMATOES July 20, 2013, 10AM-12:30PM While growing a great field tomato can largely depend on the weather, there are plenty of things growers can do to assure a higher chance of success. Join Max Apton of Stone Barns Center for a walk through the tomato patch as he discusses varietal selection, plant training and other cultural practices that can pay off with a bumper crop of tomatoes. Participants will gain an understanding of how Stone Barns Center farmers bring tomatoes from seed catalog, to field, to yield!
