Practical modeling for diversified soil greenhouse systems requires a balance of inputs and production techniques to achieve highest quality. This hands on workshop will offer soil management techniques, seasonal environmental conditions, limiting factors of production, as well as plant health and selection. In addition, we will discuss tracking and evaluation practices to improve production awareness seasonally.

This workshop, taught by Ken Greene of the Hudson Valley Seed Library, will cover the practical skills you need to save your own seeds as well as explore the continuum of creativity that's possible through basic selection and more advanced plant breeding.

Chris will cover the basic concepts and tools that Stone Barns Center’s Livestock Crew uses to move, handle, and care for a variety of animals. Participants will gain hands-on experience working with livestock while exploring the theories behind animal behavior.
