Jordan Loop

Howdy All!

Towards the end of SBBC, i know some of us talked about continuing to go out to Jordan Loop once a week to play and build relationships with the kids, and there is no better time than now to begin doing this! 

The Peace Place is definitely an avenue to stay connected to the children we began getting to know last week at JL, which is on Sunday and Monday nights. For more details please email Becky Blackmon at be...@blackmon.org.

For those who are not able to volunteer for the Peace Place at this point in the semester, which most of those who i spoke to expressed, I was thinking we could pick another time that works for a good number of people and go out there to love on these children!! I talked to Becky about this, and i thought it would be worth a shot to pick a few days and times that work most of those who would like to commit to this, and she said she could talk to the kids and families and possibly help coordinate them being there when we can be there to play once a week.

If you would think you will be able to come out and play!! some weeks, then please email me back with your availability during the week and/or weekends just to get an idea of when a good time would be to get the children out there too! It was such a blessing and joy to serve with and meet all of y'all regardless of if we were physically at the same location or not! :) Praise be to God and all of the glory be unto Him!

That sounds really great. I would love to go hang out with our kids!

My Monday and Wednesday afternoons/evenings are pretty open! Weekends are pretty much booked...(Maybe my Mondays being open means I need to pray about volunteering with Peace Place?) I don't know if I can really commit to regularity/being a mentor, especially because I'll be gone all summer and fall and this semester is almost over :( but I would LOVE to follow up with them! We'll see :)
