Snake menace

Hi Folks,

I have recently noticed a couple of snake pits come up in the lane behind our building. Both are located opposite each other in two different sites. In fact, I even witnessed a couple of snakes slithering around that place when I had gone for a stroll. On enquiry, I found out that one of the sites (where there is a pit) belongs to the family that resides right at the corner of the lane. We can get talking with them to tackle this menace. The other site that houses the other snake pit belongs to an NRI who, obviously, does'nt reside here. The challenge therefore, would be to raze the pit with or without permission from him. Any suggestion to get rid of this problem would be more than welcome as this needs to be attended to "Urgently and Immediately". Please note that the problem is bound to get worse as monsoon sets in.Thanks.
