((Central Bridge))
::Breath in. Breath out.::
Tagren: Stations...
::The voice of Denji Ryan, her fellow El-Aurian, called for her attention.::
Ryan: Where do you want me?
::She turned to him as he smiled weakly.::
Tagren: How do you feel about science?
Ryan: Right. I'm on it.
::They were about to engage in something that was completely foreign to Ari. She would be relying on her crewmates through this and trusted in their abilities. After everyone was in place, the Captain made the ultimate call and, with it, went Ari's stomach. The ship separated and started to engage the enemy, with Captain's portion taking on the threat to the station.::
Tagren: How are we doing, gentlemen?
Ryan: Looks like we're a success.
deMarc: Shields 100%, weapons systems online, all ship’s stations show manned and life support on full.
taJoot: Dorsal is getting scan results-- looks like… layered shielding, overlapping grids pushing different frequencies.
Ryan: Response
Tagren: Alright then...
taJoot: Can we get them to chase us? If we take them under the station, and they cut through the exhaust plume from the singularity drive, it might weaken their shields?
deMarc: Aye. As far as the Singularity drive, we have a chance. That’s for damn sure.
::Ari moved over towards the gentlemen, listening intently.::
taJoot: Is there any way we can exploit the debris from the last attack? We’d have to keep any cascade chain from hitting the station, but if their primary deflectors are up front, maybe we can overload a weak point somewhere else by tractor beaming sheer mass at them? The station was made of incredibly dense composites…
Ryan: Lt. taJoot, you have a better mind for this than I do. I want you to assume that there is a way for a tachyon-based weapon to penetrate those fancy new Andorian shields. How would it work?
deMarc: What about the main emitter located aft of the Sickbay?
Ryan: Response
deMarc: We had started to get a scan, but there was something more akin to a Phasing device aboard.
Tagren: Phasing device?
::Great...::
Ryan: Response
deMarc: I don’t know, it’s been so long since I have taken any engineering courses. I am just a Jar Head.
taJoot: Response
deMarc: Weapons systems, that’s my thing, but if you ask me about the quantum force, or the ability to build a phasing or cloaking device? No clues.
taJoot: Response
deMarc: Captain, whatever we are going to do, we best do it fast…
::Ari looked over to the Lieutenant and nodded.::
Tagren: Agreed. Whatever we need to do, we'll do. We have two other sections out there as well. And there's injured on that station... recommendations anyone?
deMarc/Ryan: Response
Tagren: All right, let's follow the others and see what we can do to help and keep an eye on our own backside...
deMarc/Ryan: Response
((OOC: Feel free to elaborate further if you like. I'm going to skip ahead here but I'll happily backsim anything.))
((A Little Later...))
::To say that they had been to hell and back would have been an understatement, at least to Ari. She didn't know what was at work here this day, fighting against Andorians and seeing the station destroyed. It had been a tense ordeal and Ari found herself gripping at the edge of her console, her eyes wide and red hair damp with sweat.::
Tagren: What in the world just happened...
Ryan/deMarc: Response
::Feeling a little dizzy, the El-Aurian hybrid turned her head to the side and breathed in deeply.::
Tagren: Let's see if we can get a hold of the Captain.
Ryan/deMarc: Response
::A moment later, communication was established.::
Tagren: =/\= Captain Herrera... =/\=
::There was nothing at first and Ari's gaze moved over to
the three men that were with her. She didn't know what she would've done
without them. During this whole thing she felt like a scared child wandering
into a minefield, having no clue how to engage in battle. The loss of lives, on
those ships and that station, she only hoped that... that...::
Herrera: =/\= We're alive over here, Ari, how's the central section holding up?
=/\=
::She hadn't realized that she had been holding her
breath but, when she heard Diego's voice, Ari exhaled and couldn't hold back
the smile from forming on her lips.::
Tagren: =/\= We're okay. Seen better days but... okay. =/\=
::The communication then dropped, which left Ari to wonder but she addressed the other officers instead of thinking too deeply on it.::
Tagren: What do you all think about this whole thing?
deMarc/Ryan: Response
::She was very much interested in hearing their take of events, after the fact.::
Tagren: I suppose we should rejoin our crew. Let's prepare to reconnect.
deMarc/Ryan: Response
::Taking another breath, Ari once again turned her head to discreetly wipe the trickle of blood starting to form underneath her nostril.::
::Crap... not now! Not again!::
::Clearing her throat, and trying to not draw attention to herself, she reestablished contact with Herrera, her voice growing a little weaker from what she gathered was just adrenaline wearing off and fatigue setting in.::
Tagren: =/\= Central section is ready to reconnect with you guys when you are ready. =/\=
Herrera: =/\= Response =/\=
::It didn't take too long at all. It took some coordination between the sections but it all happened and fell into place relatively quickly. Before long, the three of them were on the main bridge, seeing the rest of their crewmates which was a welcome relief.::
Tagren: Good work, gentlemen. You all... well, you're phenomenal.
Ryan/deMarc: Response
::She smiled warmly to them as they stepped onto the bridge, catching the sight of Udas at the science station. In her head, she was counting the crew -- just to be sure they were present, doing okay. She then greeted Herrera with a relieved smile.::
Tagren: I am glad to see everyone in one piece. Were you able to rescue anyone from the station?
Herrera: Response
