[DS3] Capt Rahman: So we meet again, Mr. Kelrod

::Deep Space 3, as its numbering suggested, was one of the Federation's oldest stations, serving as the beginning of the historical route known as the Mother Road that led into the Shoals. While elsewhere in the Shoals warp travel was limited to warp 4 (and even lower in some areas where the dangerous tetryon fields were particularly concentrated), ships traveling along the Mother Road could reach warp 5, effectively cutting their travel times in half.::

::But Roshanara wasn't here to travel the Mother Road. Not yet at least. Unlike the Colonial Coalition colonies that lay deep in the Shoals, Esperance was only a short warp flight away.::

::And today, she would be traveling with her once and future shipmate who was walking towards her now.::

Rahman: Commander Kelrod.

Kelrod: RESPONSE

::She nodded as he approached.::

Rahman: How have you been?

Kelrod: RESPONSE

::She noted the bags the man carried with him.::

Rahman: Souvenirs?

Kelrod: RESPONSE

Rahman: Ah. The transport should be here within the hour.

Kelrod: RESPONSE

::The two walked over towards one of the benches and sat down with their backs to the windows, looking now at the hustle and bustle of the docking terminal.::

Rahman: How did you find starbase duty?

Kelrod: RESPONSE

Rahman: Hmmph, it's certainly a different beast altogether.

Kelrod: RESPONSE

::A couple holding hands caught her attention, and her gaze followed them as they walked together happily chatting and peering into the various shops along the terminal. Her own mind began drifting elsewhere, so she turned her head back to the man next to her, refocusing on the new assignment ahead instead of the wistful thoughts she was trying to leave behind.::

Rahman: So you're likely to be one of the most familiar of the crew when it comes to this area. What do you make of it?

Kelrod: RESPONSE
