Documentary video cuts to music holovid with caption “The Edge of Shadows (2393).” Heavy music is playing in the background while a cartoon like freighter ship is fighting from being sucked into a black hole.
After a few seconds the music fades and Anakolsson’s
voice continues over the top.
Anakolsson: As I kid I wasn’t interested in wheat harvesting rovers, I was interested in making music.
Video cuts back to Anakolsson.
Anakolsson: ::Holding up pinkie fingers from each hand:: Nuclear music, man.
As a kid I was obsessed with all kinds of artists like The Vulcan Logics, The Bailiff Whales, Mozart, Corshairs, Opeth, Romulan Rift Junk, Kling HIvje', David Bowie, The Dead Kirks… you know, man, anything I could get my hands on.
::Sniff:: And when I told Papa that I wanted to be a musician and not a farmer, ::chuckles:: he wasn’t happy!
::more chuckling:: Not happy at all.
Video cuts to music footage of the Novian Skullblowers playing live on a stage with caption “Dark Ends (Live), Centennial City, Ketar V, 2395”.
The lead singer is screaming into a microphone.
Anakolsson: But when Papa came to the Skulls first show in ‘89, he changed his mind.
Video cuts back to Anakolsson, music playing in background fades slowly.
Anakolsson: The New Shanghai scene, is like… Politicians, socialites, corporate farming execs, artists, musicians, traders, all scratching each other’s backs.
You know… ::looking away:: It’s like… ::looking back at interviewer:: It’s like they’ve realised it’s hard to get anywhere in the Shoals already man, so you know what?

Sigeric turned around to see the animal that had been under George’s arm transport somewhere else in a swirl of sparkles.
The man from Glasgow Kiss in the dark suit was standing in front of him.
George: Wha...
No tlong after there were several conversations going on in the backstage area.
Sigeric turned to see some members of Glasgow Kiss heading back to their private suite.
A mountain of a man was talking to a blonde Klingon male.
Gorgeous George was talking to a blonde-haired woman, and the bearded famous singer did not look impressed at all.
//Anakolsson: The Skulls did an acoustic set for some for the elites in a corporate box at the Donova Leg of the Shoals Regional Starship Race series in mid ‘96.
That’s when I first met Maria. She kept talking about “George” this and “George” that, and “all those animals”.
But once she got past that, you know, she was supernova, and she offered her sanctuary for out next music holovid. ::Sniff::

Anakolsson Is playing his guitar leaning forward, banging his head in time with the beat, his long black hair flying around.
Ketarian Pandas are casually walking around nearby.

//Anakolsson: You know, the band, we keep in touch with Maria every now and then, we play an outdoor gig there every 6 months or so…
We became kinda friends, I guess. We did our last album launch at the sanctuary.
::Sniff:: We just gotta tell her about George if we see or hear anything, that's the deal we had.
Interviewer: ::Off screen:: Some people say she’s hypocritical and that her sanctuary is more like a zoo.
Did that ever make you think twice about dealing with her?
Anakolsson: I always found it vortexed that someone so against rare animal trade kept so many animals at her sanctuary.
But, whatever, man, that’s her business.
Literally, that’s her business. ::chuckling:: That’s elemental Donova IV right there!

Sigeric moved to a corner of the area by himself, and pulled a small PADD out of his pocket.
He tapped a few times before a voice quietly spoke out of it.

Chicchoni: =/\= Siggy! It’s been a while.
How is the music business? =/\=
Anakolsson: =/\= We’re rippin’ it as always, man, keeping it primary.
Hey I’m backstage at the Battle of the Bands and I just saw that Starfleet band take one of Gorgeous George’s animals.
You know about that? =/\=
There was a silence for a few moments before a surprised Maria finally answered.
Chicchoni: =/\= …nnn-no, no I don’t.
That’s… interesting – what kind of animal was it? =/\=
Anakolsson: =/\= Like a small, grey rat. =/\=
Chicchoni: =/\= Oh!
Okay. Hmm… =/\=
Anakolsson: =/\= I think George is kinda *%$%^* off about it. ::Sniff::

//Anakolsson: I’ve got nothing against George, man, he’s a Donova IV institution, we all love him.
But I know how obsessed Maria is with him and his animals. //
