G’var:::raising her brow::-I've got an idea, something we kicked around the locker room after practice. This will sound crazy, but if we polarize the upper nacelles and reverse the plasma flow through the magnetic constrictors, we can generate a gravity field between the nacelles. We could then use the tractor been to place one of the derelict Tholian ships into the gravity field, we then run a graviton charge along the nacelles, and the resulting change in gravity would project the ship forward and a high velocity. In essence it would be a gravity crossbow.

Orrey: The upper nacelles wouldn’t hold out to that; that would leave us with two functional ones still though.

G'var:::wiping blood from her eye::-the risk to the nacelles would be substantial, we could only try it two or three times without risking the loss of both nacelles. We would also lose Warp capability until we depolarize the nacelles.

Orrey: ::shaking his head turning from his console:: We would be lucky to get two of them out. But that would handle the Minerva and Stalwart.

Rahman: Well, it's a good thing we brought a four-nacelled ship to this fight, didn't we? How sure are we this would take out those ships?

G'var: Force does equal mass times acceleration, there's no way the Franks could withstand the impact, the Force should be enough to completely destroyed them in one shot, it's a risk, but by Kahless the Bold Survive.

Orrey: It is possible to do sir. I can get the power routed for two shots anything beyond that risks the whole of the ship. But it is the best option we have.

::Nodding in agreement with the Counselor, G’var began to make the calculations for the graviton field, with Wil and Geoff off the Ship she would have to run it through the Computer. Giving a quick prayer to Kahless, G’var double checked the results, she didn’t want to risk the ship more than she had too. Geoff was going to be furious enough after he saw what she did to his engines, unlike Geoff though she didn’t need to blow up every ship she was on, especially when it was her Home. Squeezing her prosthetic hand tight, G’var let a wicked grin spread across her face as the light on the Tactical Console went Green, the Nacelles were charged, now they just needed a bolt to use. ::

Rahman: Lieutenant, get ready to arm our "crossbow."

Orrey: I can point out some of the debris that have no value to the Tholians given our earlier researches.

G'var:::Powering the aft tractor beam:: Outstanding Counselor, the Nacelles are primed, we just need an adequate bolt to use.

:: Studying the Debris field, G’var worked with the Counselor to locate several potential derelicts to use as bolts, once located Maravosh brought the ship on an intercept course. Maravosh deftly maneuvered the Veritas through the debris field and brought the Ship into range. Activating the tractor beam, G’var pulled a sizable chunk of debris towards the Veritas and seated the projectile between the upper warp nacelles. Double checking the magnetic field, G’var fined tuned the graviton field for maximum tension, they would only get a couple of shots before the damage to the Nacelles became catastrophic, so they had to make them count.

:: Having loaded the hunk of debris, G’var checked the proximity and tactical sensors for the Minerva, Stalwart, and Solaris, clenching her jaw, she saw that they had taken up position to face off against Veritas once more. Things were about to become very interesting to say the least::

Maravosh: What are they doing?

Rahman: Probably trying to figure out what we're doing.

::The Captain turned to look at G'var.::

Rahman: Two shots. Two ships.

G'var:::Smiling wickedly again::-That’s all I need Captain.

Orrey: Ready when you are.

::Checking the Graviton field, G’var winced at the number of emergency alerts and warning lights that were going off on her console, thankfully she had already muted the console. By the Light the systems were taking the strain of what they were attempting, and all systems were ready to fire. Looking up from the Console, G’var raised a brow as Maravosh called out from her station.::

Maravosh: USS Stalwart is accelerating at full thrust with another load of quantum torpedoes arming. Evasive maneuvers, captain?

:: Running her hands over the Tactical Console, G’var quickly diverted as much power to the structural integrity field as she safely could, thanks to Maravoch’s warning. Grasping the Tactical console, G’var waited for the impacts, the only way target would be direct line of sight and they had to stay lined up with the Stalwart. The Veritas was going to have to take it on the chin.::

Rahman: No, we've only got one shot at this! We have to stay lined up. Are we ready, lieutenants?

Orrey: At will sir!

Maravosh: Enemy torpedoes have fired! Impact in six seconds.

:: By Fek’lar’s Beard! Six seconds was all G’var would get, even on the Ramp that was close, but she had worse odds. Focusing on the targeting scanner, G’var led the Stalwart, it would take a few seconds for the bolt to reach the target and they only had this one shot. Waiting for what felt like eternity, G’var had the shoot she wanted

::G’var noted the inpatients on the Captain’s face as she turned in her chair.::

Rahman: Lieutenant G'var?!

G'var: Target Locked Captain!

::Roshanara looked back at the viewscreen and held onto her arm rests, her voice steady but ice cold.::

Rahman: Blow that son of a bitch out of the sky.

G'var:::Pressing the reverse field control for the Nacelles::-Loose One!

::G’var’s ears nearly bled at the piercing sound the Nacelles made as the dead carcass of the Tholian ship was sent hurtling towards the Stalwart, as the Ship launched over the Bridge Dome, G’var could feel the shudder of the deck beneath her feet. Within a second the four quantum torpedoes fired by the Stalwart flew right past the projected "bolt", which continued on its trajectory right into the smaller warship. Like a Bat’leth carving into a ripe casaba melon, the Stalwart was bifurcated, its makeshift sutures torn apart. Whatever alien power source the Sentinel program had created aboard the ship destabilized from the hit, and the rest of the ship was engulfed in a fiery explosion, G’var pounded her hand down onto her console, Geoff wasn’t the only one who could blow up a ship.::

::As soon as Veritas had fired the projectile, the Captain quickly yelled to the helm.::

Rahman: Evasive maneuvers! Ascend!

::The RCS thrusters kicked into overdrive, pushing the ship into a high climb to dodge the torpedoes, G’var had to grip the tactical console tightly again as the inertial dampers had trouble keeping up with the climb. Targeting the Torpedoes, G’var sent a rapid volley of fire right into the spread. Striking the first two, the last two adjusted their course in time to ascend as well, slamming into the ventral side of the ship with a horrific fireball, totally collapsing the remaining shields and leaving a deep gash along the hull.::

:: On the bridge, more alarms rang out, as fire and debris fell from the overhead, an overhead support beam fell and crushed the science station, which fortunately was unoccupied.::

Rahman: Can we load another "arrow?"

:: Quickly running a diagnostic Check of the power systems and the Nacelles, G’var let out a breath, they had power and the Structural integrity left for one more shot.::

G'var:::With a Primal Growl::-Aye Captain.

Orrey: I have a few more spots I can draw power from but it may well blow the upper starboard nacelle.

Maravosh: We can't get there even if we wanted to. That last hit took out thruster control. We're limping badly, captain.

::Cursing to Fek’lar under her breath, G’var switched to the tactical sensors, the Veritas' sister Minerva along with Solaris began closing in on them like a pair of Mugatu ready to Gore a targ for supper. Checking the Damage Control board, G’var began routing power through all available power conduits to the Pulse Cannons, at least they were still functional.::

Rahman: All available power to the phaser cannons -- including life support. We're going to fire whatever we have left to give the away teams as much time as we can. If they can shut this down, then there's still a chance for the rest of the fleet to get here and save them.

::Closing her eyes, G’var though of Wil and their last carefree day on Whitehaven Beach, holding to the memory she took a deep breath, by the Light she knew he was safe on the Solaris, exhaling slowly, she said a last prayer to Kahless for her Family and the Warriors that were about to enter Sto’Vo’Kor. Switching the Cannons to manual, G’var began the warm up sequence.

Orrey: ::Jansen looked up at the viewscreen before nodding his head.:: All power to weapons sir.

G'var:::Targeting The Minerva::-Pulse Cannons armed and ready Captain.

:: Targeting the Minerva with her left hand, G’var readied Fire Control with her prosthetic, with the Minerva approaching nominal distance, G’var suddenly had to shield her eyes as several radiant beams of fire streaked past the Veritas and burned deep into the Minerva, by the Light the Tholians had arrived. Checking the Tactical sensor’s G’var was impressed by the damage the Tholians had done on their first pass, the Sentinel Drone must have felt the same as it turned to pursue the attacking Ship.::

:: G’var wiped another stream of blood from her face as she watched the Solaris finally shifted to attack the Minerva. Slamming a Fist down on to the console G’var was more than relieved, she knew Raissa and Wil could do it..::

Rahman: Finally...

G’var:::Punching a fist into the air::-Q’APLA!
