   Maiman was making the final adjustments to his report about the project she's been working the last months, when not on duty, regarding the interference on the Shoals to subspace transmissions, with the hypothesis that there was a certain pattern on the radiant emissions coming from the chaotic disturbances that hindered travel and communications on the Colonial Coalition.

   The recent improvement with the new communications array that Commander Core had put into work lately really piked her interest on the subject giving her a push of motivation to finish his latest calculations and made her think about bringing them to him. She wasn't someone looking for attention, gods knew that she liked to be on the background on most social situations to control her over sensitive senses, but it'll be nice to help the people from the Coalition and with that, Starfleet, to strengthen their position on the Shoals and make it more stable, being able to send requests, regular coms and calls for help if needed, what will improve the coordination of Operation Safe Harbor that has had many problems to counter pirate acts all around the region.

   When she finished it and read it again on her PADD, she let out a breath of relief and moved to find commander Core

   The computer gave her the location and after checking her uniform, hair and trying to have a relaxed attitude she made her way to find him.

Terpes: Commander, can I talk with you for a minute?

Terpes: :: a bit nervous :: As you might know, or maybe no,... well, I've been studying the Shoals Tetryon storm patterns for quite some time now. I know that many others tried to figure out what causes and if there's any pattern in the tetryon storms that appears through the shoals in order to improve communications with a new kind of fifth generation system that allows to improve communications with the rest of the Federation.

Delano: Response

Terpes: I'm running a fractal algorithm to introduce a variant that takes into account the outer influence in what's going on on the Shoals with that radiation, to discard that external influence from out of the Shoals could be a factor that … influences the random appearance of those pockets that gives us so much headaches, specially to the helm.

Delano: Response

   Maiman arrived to find Lt. Cmdr. Core and approached slowly, entering his field of vision os he noticed her.

Core: Response

Terpes: I've been checking your work with the new comms array that you have worked on. You're able to make the first call with Star Station Esperance using the tetryonic bouncer on Kidman. I admit I haven't thought of that. My work focused on analysis of the Shoals Tetryon emissions to try and find some fractal pattern that allowed us to get through them.

Terpes: I was wondering if you could take a look at my work so far. I asked Commander Delano a few months ago to request Starfleet to stop all non essential traffic on the zone and the adjacent sectors out of the Shoals, what allowed me to establish a reading of the natural fluctuations of all the radiant emissions from the Shoals. Maybe that will help you improve your signal and I'd like to help to improve the system if you feel like it.

Terpes: I've been working with Crewman Vetiros. He has a knack for communications and helped me to filter some background noise and strange readings I couldn't make out. I'm no expert in subspace transmissions, but as astrophysicist I have some knowledge about spatial distorsions and subspace distortions.
