Moonsong: So how have you been getting along with the crew?

:: T'Katt instantly realized how it must feel for people to come to see him for the first time. She had invited him in offering a seat and a drink just as he does with his clients. It was one step in the right direction in figuring out how to relate to people in his sessions.::

Dugorus: I believe we are getting along good so far. Not too sure how happy with me Kelrod is after our away mission.

:: Raissa sat down and poured herself a cup of tea then replied.::

Moonsong: He will deal with it. ::she paused:: Why did you react like that?

Dugporas: I just allowed my emotions to control my judgment instead of logic. oO I was afraid of the drone. And angry with yourself.Oo

Moonsong: There is nothing wrong with fear. You just have to learn how to use it.

Dugoras: I suppose that's true. :: Long pause::

:: He didn't want to talk about the Borg or his emotional reaction to it so he asked a question to shift the direction of their discussion.::

Dugoras: Did you ever find it hard to discuss issue's with people when dealing with your own stress?

Moonsong: Absolutely.

Moonsong: What happened?

Dugoras: Well :: beat:: I had a session recently that didn't go so well.

Moonsong: In what way?

Dugoras: I was so distracted by my own bad mood and problems that I sort of dove into the first issue I saw and couldn't seem to say anything that didn't sound like a textbook speech. Nor did I properly asses this persons desires alongside the issues. :: Pause:: My client became frustrated and asked to reschedule...

Moonsong: At least they rescheduled.

:: T'Katt hadn't given that much thought until now. If he had truly angered Alentonis in that session then he wouldn't have brought up rescheduling at all, he would have most likely just left. As he thought about it for a moment he also drew the conclusion that suggesting a rescheduling could have simply been a defusing tactic with no intent to follow through. T'Katt seemed to always find the negative side of things.::

Dugoras: I hope they follow through, I would like the chance to help them properly if I can. I drift off into my own thoughts so easily.

Moonsong: It is very difficult to work outside your own head.

:: That was one thing he very well knew. What he didn't know was how to fix the issue.::

Dugorus: How do you do it, strong will, meditation? :: beat.:: Drugs? :: He realized how rude he sounded only after the words had been said.::

Moonsong: :: sets down her cup and leans back. :: I do not wish to sound either condescending or patronizing. I can only give you what I have learned over the years.

:: Irritation with himself over his previous statement fell upon him with a rush, but he tried to ignore the feeling and move on.::

Dugorus: Of course, I'm sorry I am just so frustrated lately...

Moonsong: The moment that person comes through your door, YOU do not matter. Your only focus is what your patient is saying to you.

:: T'Katt leaned forward and poured a cup of tea. He listened to Raissa as she explained her reasoning on the matter. It wasn't as though he didn't know these things already, but for reason, he felt as though it was the first time hearing them. It was as though he understood their meaning better than he had when he studied them.::

Moonsong: It is something that is difficult to do sometimes. Especially as you get to know and become closer to people. These were lessons that I had to learn the hard way. ::smiles::

Dugorus: You are right. I suppose experience first had is required even for this line of work. Books and simulations don't seem to really prepare you for sitting in that room, only being in it does.

Moonsong: Response

Dugoras: I just... :: beat:: I think... :: Pause:: oO What are you trying to say fool! Out with it!... I wish my learning curves didn't involve affecting other peoples lives! Pathetic! Everything you do affects someone's life no matter what. Maybe...Oo

:: T'Katt closed his eye's a moment as he argued with himself again. After a breath and a sip of tea he continued to speak.::

Dugoras: I just don't want my mistakes to badly affect the crew anymore, both in the field and in my office.

Moonsong: Response

Dugoras: Everyone says I am doing fine and will figure it out, but I feel like I am just failing and becoming more confused.

Moonsong: Response

:: She had a point. He needed to focus on calming his mind, and on reason. All anyone including her could do is give him advice and help him to understand possible aspects of cause and effect with his problems but just as it was with his client's, the burden of change was square on his shoulders. It seemed like all his question asking and self-evaluating was circling back to the same overall answers. He needed to forgive himself and to learn from his mistakes and move on.::

Dugoras: I understand. One can only be supported by others, they cannot lift your burden's for you, that must be done by you alone.

Moonsong: Response

Dugoras: It must feel silly discussing all this with me.

Moonsong: Response

Dugoras: Still it wasn't fair to show up like this to discuss my issues, your not a counselor anymore and shouldn't have to deal with that sort of thing.

:: He truly felt foolish now.::
