Cmdr. Kelrod: Last chance to enjoy Kidman I

Kelrod
looked up to the sky of Kidman knowing that it'll probably be the
last time he'll see that and given the recent events in his
professional and personal life, he came with an idea to make use of
the time they have left. So, he packed a few things, a portable tent
and transported it a few kilometers away from the ship, in a small
hill from where they can watch the valley on one side and the ship on the other.
After the arrangements were made, he called Jayla to meet him just outside transporter room 2 and when she arrived and asked the reason for his call, he just smiled at her.
Kelrod: You wanted some time for ourselves, you'll have it.
Petras: Response
He accompanied her to the transporter pad and nodded to the crewman that activated it sending them out of the hill.
( Camping zone )
As they materialized Kelrod checked that the equipment was there. The tent, a small heater to warm food if necessary,... they won't need much more to enjoy the night.
Kelrod: Well, I owed you this. You'll still have the call for a date as you'd like it to be, but I thought we could enjoy the last night on Kidman by ourselves.
Petras: Response
Kelrod: We have good views and no one in a few kilometers around us. Tomorrow we'll be with more than two hundred people, so let's make the most of it.
Petras: Response
The sunset of Kidman was one with warm temperature what would make their camping night as pleasant as they'd like it to be.
( Next day )
After getting back to the ship, Kelrod got ready for the day ahead. A new mission will start and he faced it with a new resolve to make the most of it.
The two command officers walked out onto the bridge, a crewman calling out, “Captain on the bridge!”
Roshanara gave a glance around the room and nodded.
Rahman: I hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine.
Kelrod smiled, having enjoyed from sunset to sunshine.
The captain then walked over to her command chair before looking over towards Blake, taking the XO station.
Rahman: Number One, I believe when I left you this spaceship, it was in space. Please put it back.
Blake: Blue alert. Helm, contact Engineering, prepare thrusters for planetary take-off.
Kelrod checked the internal sensors and secured the torpedo launchers and made sure that the phasers were deactivated and secured.
Kelrod: =/\= This is commander Kelrod to all decks, prepare for take off and report to code blue stations. =/\=
As the crew moved to their positions he received word from different stations that the crew were ready.
Kelrod: All code blue stations acknowledged.
Parker/Blake: Response
When everything was ready the ship began to vibrate for a few seconds before gaining altitude and they ascended quickly, leaving Kidman I and darting into the Shoals space again.
