Kallo; Interesting, the way that translates in Valtese. ::clearing his throat:: It began as we entered the Shadows. I have to wonder -- out of the three vessels this little convey contains, I surely can't be the only one ill?

Wong: Admittedly, it IS possible. But you’re the first one to report such issues. Not to say that there aren’t others who have yet to arrive here.

Thorne: ::looking around the empty sickbay, present company excluded.:: It could be anything.

 

Kallo: What an odd statistical anomaly. Say, Lieutenant Ikaia Wong: you're Klingon, yes?

Ikaia was already prepping his tricorder for use.

 

Wong: Yes! Ah I’d have a hard time being anything else, Mister Var.

Kallo: I'm typically extraordinarily good at reading people, but mathematics just isn't a strong suit of mine. What are the statistical chances a Klingon chooses this precise moment to launch an attack on a Starfleet vessel?

Wong: I’m sorry, what? This doesn’t sound so much of an odds game as it is that there are some details being withheld here.

Thorne: The precise moment you are speaking of, has now passed. No attack. ::deadpan and almost Vulcanlike Lilith looked at the stranger and frowned.:: For what reason do you believe this may occur?

Kallo: By rights, I'm their prisoner.

His stomach churned, and Kallo paled.

Kallo: Actually, let's put the hypotheticals aside now. Unless you've a bucket handy?

Lieutenant Wong was quick to act as he grabbed up the nearest largest kidney dish he could and passed it to Kallo.

Wong: Try this!

Thorne: ::sarcasticly as she turned her head slightly:: Oh, lovely!

Kallo: Response?

Wong: How are you feeling?

Thorne: Now I'm not feeling so good after witnessing that.

Kallo: Response?

Wong: Mind if I give you a scan first? I’d like to know what I’m dealing with before I prescribe anything.

Kallo: Response?

Wong: Okay. :And with that he started his scan: Anything I should be aware of?

Thorne: IT MOVED!

Ikaia didn’t look up from his scans.

Wong: What moved?

Kallo: Response?

Thorne: ::pointing at the kidney dish:: Th-there is something in the dish! It moved.

Ikaia finally looked up.

Wong: Uhh… Ensign, maybe you might be provoking it by staring? It’s shy. ::A beat:: Just kidding! I’ll look into that later for samples.

He turned his attention to Kallo.

Wong: Everything else looks healthy on these scans. I’ll just prep a hypospray for this and should have you on your feet soon.

Ikaia went over to a nearby counter and started prepping the hypospray. 

Kallo: Response?

Thorne: What is...

Kelrod: =/\= Kelrod to Thorne, how's our guest doing? =/\=

Thorne: =/\= Yeah, Commander. I wouldn't know sir. I am a security officer, not a Doctor. But it doesn't look good. At least from what I see. =/\=

Kelrod: =/\= ETA for him to get back to his quarters? =/\=

Lilith looked to Lieutenant Wong and shrugged, then pointed to Lieutenant Wong, then to her combadge to signal Wong that he should respond.

Thorne: =/\= One moment, Commander..=/\=

Ikaia tapped his badge.

Wong =/\= Give me about fifteen minutes and he should be ready to go. =/\=

Kallo: Response?

Kelrod: =/\= Understood, once he's back and you're replaced as his escort, get to the bridge. I need you here for a few minutes =/\=

Thorne: =/\= Yes, Commander. With pleasure. Thorne out. =/\=

Ikaia heard Ensign Thorne leave before he could say goodbye. Too bad! But at least he had Kallo’s medication ready. He walked back over to him.

Wong: Alright. It’s ready to go. It should clear up the worst of it. But I still recommend getting some rest.

Kallo: Response.

With that, he administered the hypospray.

Wong: There! Any better?

Kallo: Response.

Wong: Huh. That’s an interesting way to put it, isn’t it?

Kallo: Response

Ikaia felt the ship start to shake. Instinctively he stuck his arm out to prevent Kallo from falling. He heard the red alert go off.

Wong: What in the hell going on up there?!

Kallo: Response

Ikaia took a moment to mull over the facts. Kallo had mentioned being a prisoner. Plus him asking the odds of a Klingon attack stuck out as a strange detail….

Wong: …. We’re being attacked. ::Looking back at Kallo:: You knew about this, didn’t you? They’re after you?

Kallo: Response
