The funny thing about broken bones was that the didn't hurt much after the break, if you stayed still. She knew it well, having broken a few bones in her childhood, youth, and adulthood. Always pushing herself, always fighting to be taken seriously. The spectre of her father and his ignoble career was just as much a restraint as the ones placed on her so cruelly when she was abducted from Starbase 104. She was a fighter her whole life, and only in the past few years she was learning to not fight. But the universe wasn't done with her. 

She realized, as soon as they let her speak, that her captors didn't want her to get to her father. She wasn't a bargaining chip for some strange militaristic faction, or some kind of revenge plot for the war crimes he oversaw. Nor did they want her for abandoning Cardassia, or the military. No, the suffering she faced was far more banal and stupid: a rich prick wanted a sommelier that specialized in Cardassian wine. There were few of those, and fewer still that existed outside of Cardassia, and fewer still that wouldn't cause much of a ruckus if she was gone. For the Federation and Cardassia alike, her going missing was probably a relief of sorts. She was a relic of an uncomfortable diplomatic incident. Not one of import, but still a pimple on an already tense relationship.

Heeka: Ugh...

Any Medical: ?

She looked up at the ceiling, and lulled her head from side to side. Her neck was stiff.

Heeka: This is not the Constitution?

Starfleet, obviously, but decidedly newer tech than the Constitution. T'Seva would have mentioned if they did some kind of overhaul, surely. And she would be at her side already if she was on board.

Any Medical: ?

Heeka: Then why did..?

Talking was difficult. She was banged up, and so very exhausted. The adrenaline that had been sustaining her was thoroughly metabolized and spent, leaving her feeling hollow and ragged.
